It's easy to buy a present for someone who does a sport. A golfer for instance can get: clubs, balls, towels, club passes, event tickets and lessons. A tennis buff, a runner, a biker, a sailor, a bowler, a.... Well you get the general idea. Each of these sports and hobbies have a great many items that are required if you're going to do them. That's great when you're buying someone a present.
But it can become a serious burden when you are the one who's carrying all this stuff. Most sport require a lot of equipment, space and perhaps partners to actually happen. If you're traveling or going to work you probably are not going to take your clubs. You can sneak out go to a range to hit a few if there's one near you and you don't mind the time and expense.
It would be great if you could just do the sport and all that extra baggage could automatically come with you. If some of these sports could just be more portable. Tai Chi is very strong in this regard. You see all you need to practice Tai Chi is your body.
When you're at work you don't need much time to sneak in to an empty office and just do a few moves. No special bats or uniforms required. Keep your shoes on, you don't need any special shoes. Of course you could take them off.
Tai Chi is a sport, a meditation, a martial art and a hobby all rolled into one. It is also very portable. You can go to the roof of your office, play your favorite music on the iPhone as the sunrises. (as one of our students does!). Or you can try to find time at your favorite fitness club to squeeze in a spin class. Don't forget to bring a change of clothing and make time for the shower.
Tai Chi can be performed at home in between commercials in your bunny slippers (we advise to take them off) no cool down required.
