The 10 Daoist Exercises

1. Bowing to the Rising Sun

Strengthens kidneys

2. Drawing a Dagger

Strengthens intercostals muscles

3. Rotating the Knees and Ankles

To strengthen the lower joints

4. Pulling the Ox’s Tail Backward

Strengthen and stretch the ligaments and tissues of the midsection

5. Rocking the Baby

Strengthens and stretches tendons

6. Three-legged Tiger with fist

Increasing energy and force

7. Swiveling the Two Arms

To loosen the ligaments and torso

8. Three Plates Falling on the Ground

Squatting to strengthen the waist and legs

9. Wu Sung Hitting the Tiger

Legs: V-hip width + ½ apart

10. Swinging the Arms Back and Forth

To massage the kidneys and central nervous system
